2) Plug in your Eyegaze Connect USB and then press the button in the hole, you should feel a small click when you do so.

3) A File Explorer window should automatically pop up as the Eyegaze Connect USB stick is now acting like a USB thumb drive, but if it doesn't hit the Windows key and type "File Explorer". The program icon should look like a yellow folder. Scroll down on the left side of the File Explorer window and you should find another drive below "Local Disk (C:)" that is named something like in the screenshot "FTHR840BOOT (D:)". When you click on it you should see the exact same files below in yours.

4) Drag and drop the UF2 file in an empty space of that window that popped up, UF2 File Link.

5) The window should automatically disappear, wait a few seconds to ensure the firmware is installed completely then unplug and replug your Eyegaze Connect.

6) Your Eyegaze Connect USB's firmware should now be updated! You can go ahead and import the newest version of Eyeworld if you haven't done so already and check out a ton of new Eyegaze Connect features available to you, Eyeworld Pageset Link.

7) One last piece you need to update is your Eyegaze software, only if your version number is not 2025.06.04 or newer. To update, open up the "Eyegaze Edge Settings" program which should be a gear icon on the desktop (you can also search for it in the Windows taskbar). Once it has opened, click the Advanced button on the bottom right then click the check for updates button, follow the prompts that pop up, and finish the installation. You may be prompted to close any programs that are using the eye tracker. You can verify your version number by looking at the bottom left corner of the Advanced page.
