In order to use EyeWorld's EyeMine pageset, you must own a licensed copy of Minecraft Java Edition (Note that
Java Edition is distinctly different from
Bedrock Edition which is not supported by EyeMine) and EyeMine's toolbar program. If you don't have both of these applications, this article will help guide you through the installation process. Alternatively if you still need help, you can also read through or watch EyeMine's video on the installation process found
here.
First you will need to purchase and install Minecraft Java Edition, which you can purchase
here. Be sure to select the lower cost "Minecraft" option, as the "Deluxe Collection" provides extras that are only applicable to the Bedrock Edition. A Microsoft account is also required in order to play the game. Once the game has been purchased, install it using the legacy installer for Minecraft
here.
Open and run the installer you just downloaded which should look something like this.
Continue hitting "next" until the download begins, also keep in mind that Minecraft requires Java in order to run the game. If your system doesn't have Java, the installer may automatically prompt you with a Java download. Once the installer finishes, open Minecraft and log into your account.
Before you install EyeMine, you will need to launch a specific version of Minecraft at least once in order for EyeMine to work. Your launcher should look like the image below. If it doesn't, make sure you have clicked on the Minecraft:Java Edition button on the left sidebar.
Next, navigate to the "Installations" page located near the top of the launcher, and press the "New Installation" button.
In the dropdown box for "Version", search for 1.14.4 and click on "release 1.14.4". Then press the green "Create" button on the bottom right.
Navigate back to the "Play" page, and select the dropdown list where you can see "Latest release". Select the newly added "1.14.4" installation from the list, and hit the big green Play button. If you see an additional prompt come up, just continue by hitting Play. Once your game finishes launching and you can see the title screen menu, go ahead and close the game.
You can now download the EyeMine installer from
here. Begin by unzipping the folder from the aforementioned link by right clicking the folder and pressing "Extract All".
Open up the new unzipped folder and run the file named "1_install_forge". If a window pops up stating "Windows has protected your PC", click "More Info", and then click "Run anyway".
A small window will come up titled "Forge". Check to make sure "Install client" is selected and then click the OK button. If the installer prompts you to install the Java Runtime download, follow the link and install it before running the Forge installer again.
Now you can run the other installer in your unzipped folder named "2_EyeMineInstaller", if you encounter the same blue pop up as before, proceed using the same steps above. In the EyeMine installer, continue to click "Next" until you see the installer prompt for Eyetracker settings. Choose "Cursor/Headmouse" and continue on through the installer until it finishes. Once the installer has completed, you should be all set to use the EyeMine pageset within Eyeworld!
To access the EyeMine Pageset, from the home page navigate to Entertainment > Games > Play Games with Windows Control > EyeMine.
